          Hi folks. Merry Christmas.
This is my first posting and I have not decided exactly what to write.  Monday's sit filled the Moonwater Dojo with 9 people. Very unusual.  I told a story about Hakuin experiencing kensho listening to snow fall.  Eventually the discussion led to my talking about the poetic culture of China and Japan and how this poetic culture harmonizes with the Buddha Dharma maybe better then the philosophic culture of India.
Kensho temporarily frees the individual from language but then the individual must  return to language.  But now language has changed.  the individual sees through language and all fixed meanings become empty.  Interdependence, interpenetration, without fixed meanings all becomes metaphor for the Buddha Dharma.  This is Poetic Liberation.
